In canon, the person hired to play Hiyono had very minimal contact with her contractor, who only provided the occasional helpful tip. She was left to her own devices, free to make whatever judgement calls she needed to nudge her mark in the direction her boss wanted her to. While she worked with the mark and his friends, as far as her real job was concerned, she operated alone.
Yvette works in a team and operates mostly transparently. From the very beginning, to subvert the fact that she remembered being deceptive, she wanted to be upfront (which didn't sit well with Eichi, whoops). She's done her best to identify which skills her unitmates should hone and provides training that might be beneficial to them.
The addition of Paloma to the unit took some workload off of her. They share certain skill sets and perspectives, so she mostly knows what to expect and doesn't mind if Paloma decides to take initiative on things Yvette would also do, like running the post-game debriefings. Even though no one on BiT trusts each other, and the fact half her unit is made up of audition idols is a constant worry, Yvette is comfortable working as a team with everyone.
