PALOMA PALOMA PALOMA it is really a gift to have a unitmate she doesn't have to explain things to, especially after Eichi took "I'm a spy" so poorly (but understandably, from a normal person's perspective). She genuinely appreciates that she can have a mostly judgement-free conversation about the business. It's also really, really fun to do acting scenes with her, gossip, plot and psychoanalyze their unitmates together. Paloma's presence allows her to play more while she works, and also takes a whole load of the pressure she doesn't even realize she's carrying over things like debriefing.
More recently, Yvette has tended towards deferring to Paloma's suggestions, notably changing BiT culture from impersonal and corporate to something more friendly and supportive. Yvette would have been content to continue as Eichi had verbally instructed (even though his behavior indicates otherwise) simply to prevent making waves, but working together with Paloma, implementing change feels more possible. She compartmentalizes a lot of stress, but having Paloma around makes her much less stressed, not just by easing her own workload but also by being a competent unitmate she doesn't have to worry too much about.
Shrike is someone Yvette is planning to touch base with again! Even if they haven't talked much lately, Shrike's competence and calm under pressure are qualities that leave a strong impression on her. There's a sense of ease knowing someone with her demeanor and background is on I2.
She's also super cute when she's flustered, please talk to her about her wonderful married life.
Yvette considers him a reliable partner. She easily gives him respect and lends her support because what he's managed to build without her is a testament to his own initiative. If he says he's gonna do something, he really goes for it, for better or worse, and it's usually for the better. She relates to his workaholic nature, and his desire to experiment with things like BiT abilities before they're an actual problem, he tends to favor and prepare for the worst case scenario, which is necessary considering their environment. He's got big ambitions, but is mostly grounded in how he goes about them, so that makes them more palatable to get behind. Even if she's personally eh on his personal goal of conquering Hell, she agrees with the concepts i2 is built on and appreciates the space he's made for her.
Despite his very I Am An Adult nature he's also endearingly hoisted by his own petard. Dunking on him is an irresistible side bonus to their working relationship.
Intensity is one of the people she's comfortable speaking with candidly (the list includes Silver, B and Paloma). She's also more inclined to emote and express annoyance about a situation, without worry that she'll appear unprofessional or somehow less reliable. His support and direction are great, 10/10 would continue this working relationship. There was another specific example of his good decision making but I forgot what it was. TL;DR Intensity good!
Q's first impression is positive! She's easily pleased/appeased by people who praise her abilities, and she's making an effort to research summoning, and working with Camellia on that as well. He's cool and good looking too so that makes her pretty willing to get along for shallow reasons, but the willingness to become her student was such an ego boost.
Big Sis loves Ruby very much! They're mostly quick-thinking and clever, even if their personal decisions are questionable. Their avoidance about what are (presumably) signs of corruption, and the implications of that (supported by being told someone on Wild City who had gone and come back as an audition idol) are worrying, but she doesn't feel a need to push. It's more important to be a person Ruby can rely on and wants to talk to. Their relationship is more important than work, not just because having good rapport with unitmates and the audition idols is her strategic priority, but she also cares about Ruby. Especially since Ruby seems to be in a long-term relationship with Danger and Self-Destruction.
While she still doesn't think she NEEDS personhood or anyone caring about her, she does appreciate Ruby's attempts. Possessiveness is a cute love language as long as it's limited to draping and a little jealousy. Ayumu tied up at their doorstep was also a lovely tribute, even though she's still unsure about what her feelings for that boy are.
DISTRUST DISTRUST DISTRU-- this is how she feels about almost of of BARiTONES, this is normal.
Yvette is pretty sure Grandpa Emet's concern for her is rooted in ulterior motives, and while typical BiT paranoia is part of it, it's reinforced by the childishly stubborn belief that caring for herself physically and emotionally beyond simply being "work ready" really isn't necessary. The first time she took a memory with him, it was more of a "smile and nod, placate the old man," situation, though she does acknowledge that when she follows his suggestions, she does feel better. Regardless of the reason, his points are valid and she does feel better, much to her chagrin. She appreciates it, even if it's taken with a grain of NONE TRUST/"don't tell me what to do because I'm totally fine" salt. She has less worry when it's directed at Wildfire, who she agrees needs some sense of normalcy and positive support, and regardless of the reasons for him saying so, she likes that he wants to create that kind of environment for their team laborador retriever. He's observant and insightful, patient and diplomatic with how he approaches delicate subjects. Being mostly transparent about his past history with Auracite earned points, because she'd rather be aware of what needs to be mitigated rather instead of blindsided.
The fact he's set boundaries regarding what information she can gather on him as an Audition idol isn't a bother to her, because she can use that to justify boundaries for herself, though at this point she's erased any of the juicy info regarding Angels from her head. She's not impatient about info-gathering, because she doesn't have a set aim for it. She doesn't expect to get information on "missions" or anything big Azzy is planning, because if it came down to a trade, she doesn't have anything she can give up. For now, she'll enjoy the surface harmony and support he brings to the unit and keep an eye on him.
In canon, the person hired to play Hiyono had very minimal contact with her contractor, who only provided the occasional helpful tip. She was left to her own devices, free to make whatever judgement calls she needed to nudge her mark in the direction her boss wanted her to. While she worked with the mark and his friends, as far as her real job was concerned, she operated alone.
Yvette works in a team and operates mostly transparently. From the very beginning, to subvert the fact that she remembered being deceptive, she wanted to be upfront (which didn't sit well with Eichi, whoops). She's done her best to identify which skills her unitmates should hone and provides training that might be beneficial to them.
The addition of Paloma to the unit took some workload off of her. They share certain skill sets and perspectives, so she mostly knows what to expect and doesn't mind if Paloma decides to take initiative on things Yvette would also do, like running the post-game debriefings. Even though no one on BiT trusts each other, and the fact half her unit is made up of audition idols is a constant worry, Yvette is comfortable working as a team with everyone.
